A 45 series tire sits at the boundary between low-profile performance and standard touring — a versatile aspect ratio found on a wide range of sport and mainstream vehicles. The Honda Civic (sport and Si trims), Mazda3, Toyota Camry SE and XSE, Honda Accord Sport, Volkswagen Golf R, and various European sedans and hatches use 45-series fitments.

The 45 series offers a well-balanced combination: low enough for a sporty feel and responsive handling, with enough sidewall to absorb more road imperfections than 35 or 40-series tires. This makes the 45 series a natural fit for vehicles that are driven enthusiastically but also used as daily commuters — the trade-off between performance and daily livability is well struck.

225/45R17 is one of the most popular tire sizes sold in Canada — found on countless mainstream vehicles and stocked by every brand in every category. This makes the 45-series one of the easiest profiles to shop, with the deepest selection across all-season, all-weather, winter, and summer categories and competitive pricing at every tier.

Canada Tire Pro carries a wide selection of 45-series tires across all popular fitments. Same-day fitting is available at our Calgary and Edmonton locations.
